Clayhill Kitchen

Public Space | Masterplan

In this project, the team was challenged to reimagine an area of the Sheaf Valley Park, a neglected space in the shadow of Park Hill, to the east of the centre of Sheffield. The park had formerly been occupied by high rise social housing and essentially abandoned since its demolition, becoming a focus for anti-social behaviour.

The concept involved transforming it both programmatically and spatially into a place for the growing, consuming, and selling of food. The goal was to reintegrate the park into the surrounding neighbourhood, while also creating a distinctive destination for people throughout Sheffield.

This was a group project, in which I was responsible for the overall concept, narrative, and art direction.
