This project was completed as part of a course focused on developing Vectorworks skills, led by Sheffield-based Ares Landscape Architects. The brief was to produce a masterplan and at least two detailed design elements for a site on Collin Street within a wider redevelopment area in central Nottingham. Nottingham Central Library fronts the site to the south, with a multi-storey car park to the north set for demolition.

The concept introduces a playful sense of flow through contrasting materials and a combination of angular and curved forms running across the site. It also proposes an enclosed space in front of the library, extending its function into an outdoor reading room. Both the ambition of the design and its representation were highly regarded by the landscape professionals leading the module.
